New: Medical Information from Packmaster/Troopmaster

SOAR is pleased to announce a new addition to the Packmaster/Troopmaster Import feature. Customers have the option to sync Medical Information contained in Packmaster/Troopmaster will your SOAR website.

This includes:

  • Emergency Contact 1 - Name and Phone Number
  • Emergency Contact 2 - Name and Phone Number
  • Insurance Company - Name and Policy Number
  • Doctor - Name and Phone Number
  • Medications
  • Allergies
  • Medical Other

This option is available during Import at Admin/Import/Packmaster-Troopmaster/Import. The site will remember the setting you use for this option for future imports.

New: More site customizations

SOAR is pleased to announce a number of new configurable fields to help customize your unit website to your specific needs. This will not only help our Pack and Troop customers but also our Crew, District, Ship, and OA customers as well.

  • Browser Title
    • Now you have full control over the Title that shows in the Browser Tab when someone visits your site, bookmarks your site, and what is displayed by the search engines.
    • This settings is available at Admin/Control Panel/Unit Info/Browser Title.
    • Note: this is separate from the Header Title which shows at the top each of your website pages which is also configurable.

Microsoft Delivery Issues Resolved !

Microsoft removed the block on email coming from our Troop email servers early this morning.

We have not seen any bounce messages since 3AM EST.

You should not have any more issues with delivery to Microsoft email addresses from your SOAR Email Lists.

Our email system started receiving error responses while delivering email to Microsoft accounts this morning.

This is primarily occurring with our myTroop service.

This includes @msn, @live, @hotmail, @outlook email accounts.

We are not listed on any "black lists". Our externally measured SenderScore is 99 (out of 100). There are no issues with our email system.

Microsoft has for some reason decided to start blocking email from our service again.

We have a support request into them to find out what is going on. As soon as we find out more information, we will pass it along.

Microsoft Delivery Issues Resolved

Our hosting provider has beat Microsoft over the head a few times. Microsoft has removed the block for our email servers.

It may take 24-48 hours for the change at Microsoft to take affect. If you see additional bounces, you can ignore them for now. If you see bounce messages after Thursday, please forward them to us.

Delivery Issues to Microsoft accounts

Update: Roster Check is back !

The Roster Check feature is back and improved at Admin/Members/Options.

This feature will find common problems and missing information in your Roster to assist you in keeping your Roster up-to-date and accurate.

We sincerely apologize for the delay in having this feature available for your use.

Update: Email Lists

We have updated the Email List features with a number of enhancements to increase usability of this important feature for SOAR customers.

  1. Sender not a member of Email List
    • A sender would not receive a copy of the email when they sent an email to an Email List they are not a member of.
    • We have added delivery of a copy of the email to the non-member sender.
    • The sender still needs to be authorized to send the email, like normal.
  2. List Members in CC fields
    • If an email address is already a member of the Email List, we now remove the email address if it occurs in the CC field.

Verizon.net email issues resolved

As of Monday October 26, 2014 the issues that Verizon email servers were having have been resolved.

We are not seeing any more delivery issues to @verizon.net email addresses.

Verizon.net email issues

Customers have been reporting issues with delivery of email to @verizon.net email addresses.

We can confirm that Verizon is having a system wide issue with their email right now. Many people across the internet are experiencing the same issue. Has nothing to do with SOAR.

You may receive bounce back messages from your members with @verizon.net email addresses. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do. Sending the email to them directly will result in the same problem.

We will provide an update when Verizon fixes the issue.
